Physical Platforms
Real hardware — sensors, actuators, and field-deployable systems built for production and volume.
An AI-first hard tech company building real physical defense systems at scale. Our ultimate aim is the final iteration of warfare: a fully autonomous supersystem for defending the West.
Capabilities
Rooted in hard tech — physical systems that deploy in the field, supported by the software and intelligence layers that make them effective.
Real hardware — sensors, actuators, and field-deployable systems built for production and volume.
Real-time targeting and system control — the software that closes the loop on physical capability.
Perception, classification, and decision-making across the sensor-to-effect chain.
Modular architectures built for affordability, portability, and deployment at scale.
Mission
Modern threats outpace legacy acquisition. We build fieldable, affordable systems for today’s operational realities — in close partnership with end users, on short cycles, held to one standard: performance where it matters.
Vision
The defense industry optimizes for the fight in front of it. Programs are scoped to a battlespace, a budget cycle, an integration slot in someone else’s command stack. Theron takes a longer view.
Every physical system we field is built to operate fully autonomously and to connect. Deployed at volume, these platforms form a networked awareness of the operational environment — not as inputs to legacy command software, but as the substrate from which command itself can be reconceived.
Conflict is moving toward a pace and complexity that human-mediated control cannot match. We are building the infrastructure for what comes after: autonomous coordination across the full depth of the battlespace, giving allied nations defensive capability that operates at the speed the threat demands.
About
Theron is a San Francisco–based defense technology company, founded in 2026. We are focused on building real physical products — systems that exist in the field, not on a slide deck.
Our roots are in hard tech: mechanical design, electronics, and production engineering. We pair that with deep expertise in controls software and AI — from real-time system control through perception and autonomous decision-making. We stay close to operators, move fast, and measure success by what ships.
